At OAK, we think it’s important to celebrate the successes of our schools. Recent Minister for Schools, Damian Hinds, wrote to our Brookside Primary School to congratulate them on some really exceptional key stage 2 SATs results.

In a signed letter to the school, Mr Hinds said: “Your school’s results, published on December 14th, 2023, show scores of 5.1, 6.2 and 5.4 in reading, writing and Mathematics respectively.” 

“This means that in terms of progress that your pupils make between Key Stage 1 and the end of Key Stage 2, your school is amongst the top 5 per cent in the country.”

These incredible outcomes are a testament to the expertise and endeavour of the school’s staff, the support of a great family community, and of course, the hard work and ambition of our pupils!

School improvement is a top priority at OAK and academic indicators like these SATs results are a good sign that our approach is having a positive impact on outcomes for children.
